In terms of style, that’s really up to you. You could look at investing in some classic black or metallic shoes so that they may last you awhile. Even though they are all “high”, there are certain levels of high heel shoes that fit a particular situation. Some people might say that the taller they are the sexier they are, and others argue that there is no need for such high heels. Obviously you can make your own judgment about high heels, but here is some advice to help pick the right pair for you.
For long shifts at work, shorter bordello shoes are usually the way to go. If you’re going to be on your feet all day, it may not be wise to be parading around in eight inch pumps. With that said, short shoes can still be cute of course. They may not be the extreme runway style that some people love, but if corporate America can rock them, why can’t performers do the same? If you are a particularly clumsy person, this height may be ideal as well. Just stick to three inches or less and you should be fine.
For something a bit more eye-catching, you can go with some bordello shoes with a higher heel. That’s where the attention really starts to set in. If you’re dancer and perform in stripper shoes, you might want something that can make you stand out from the competition. Most guys won’t pass up six-inch heels because it takes a lot of skill to walk in. If you mainly perform on the ground than six inch heels should not be an issue. If you are clumsy and working on a slick stage, you might want to train yourself with high heels, or start off with shorter heels.
For those of you with some experience, shoes can go up to a whopping eight inches tall. These are known to be very hard to walk in, but they could do wonders to your body. If you’ve got your feet in the air most the time, these shoes will get you a lot of attention which will bring you all the tips in the world. Make sure you practice and break them in before getting on the stage, to avoid any embarrassment of tripping and falling. Next to that, it’s all about working what you’ve already got.
